Dogs for Blue

Welcome to Dogs 4 Blue (D4B)

After spending the better part of a decade buying and selling police service dogs, we have recently became disgusted with the direction the dog business is going. So here at QK9C we have decided to try and do something about it. We have decided to embark on a venture that will make us some of the most hated men in the dog world. Our plan is to train police dogs and give them away to small departments that can not afford them otherwise. We will do this through grants and donations. We have named this project Dogs 4 Blue. We are currently collecting not tax deductible donations to get this project off the ground.

In the past many have tried this and gave up or failed, but we are committed to the cause. After seeing a number of agencies get run through the mud by less then ethical vendors, we made our minds up to direct all of our efforts to this. We will be the first to admit we have been a part of the problem, but now we want to be apart of the solution. The dog world does not have a way of regulating itself and the bigger kennels keep on getting bigger and the smaller kennels continue to go away. The kennels with ethics and moral values are disappearing because they cannot compete and refuse to compromise themselves to make a dollar. For years we would do what we had to in order to make a sale, and after much soul searching we have came to the conclusion that in order to make a change we need to first change ourselves. This is what we have done and now we are on a mission to provide dual purpose dogs to departments that want them. The only cost to them will be a donation of their choice. No more $7500-$20,000 dogs, no more $8500 green dogs, and no more dogs that don't work. We have seen it and lived it. Now we are going to change it.

Right now we in the infant stage, getting our Tax exempt status, Tax ID number, and Corporation lined up. Our goal is to launch the Non-Profit Organization in spring of 2009. We are ready for the back lash and naysayers. But the benefits will be great. Think of an average of 40-80 more dogs on the streets the first year and who knows how many more the next. Think of how much safer our streets will be with more dogs looking for and putting drug dealer where they belong, behind bars. We know our efforts might not make a dent in the war on drugs, but at least we are swinging the hammer.

We are look forward to the opportunity to provide our Law Enforcement professional with the tools they need and ask for your help in helping us get this thing going.
